Paulo Coelho, total of 4

I said I may read another novel for Coelho, which I did. I read The Zahir followed months later by By the River Piedra I Sat Down and Wept. I felt the same, the impressive style, the rich ideas and the spiritual depth. Similarly, my aim and concern was just to read along. It doesn't matter what happends when, who moves where; the important thing is just to have more pages to read.

I actually wept with the River Piedra, and didn't find any logic in the finale of The Zahir. But, this won't make me deny any of these novels their value, beauty and eloquence. I find myself keeping pages from these novels as quotations, and am convinced I will be re-reading them soon.

Strange!

Life is but odds. One day I am dying for something, the next I won't move an inch to get it. One night my pillow is soaked with my bitter tears, next morning I receive life with all the enthusiasm there cud ever be. Last year, the sheer idea of a friend moving just two streets away wud have meant the end of the world, and now I don't remember how many soul mates have relocted around the world. Definitely, not less suprising, is my reluctance to think just a little bit to launch myself into a writing career!

Paulo Coelho 2 Novels

I have got the chance and time to read the latest Witch of Portobello and Veronika Decides to Die. The former is superior in technique, whereas the latter is more down to earth. I was enchanted by each page of the Witch but it is Veronika that touched me more. In both novels the search for a spiritual side of life is at the centre. Still, as I said, everything about Veronika is realistic. I relished reading both novels to the extent that I may seek buying another of his novels.

Finally here!

I can't believe I finally found access to my blog without using the pc. My family and I moved to altagamou3 al7'ames a few weeks ago and this was sort of an interruption to my life. I am trying to adapt, but the feeling of the cast away lingers. May 5th was my 24th birthday! My friends got me Coelho's The Witch of Portobello and I devoured it in a couple of days. It is a real page turner.

The Witch of Portobello- Impression from first 11 Chapters.

The Witch of Portobello, spirituality swiftly encompasses you. Tranquility gets to your heart. Close your eyes and soar in the sky. Feel every word, relish each line, and bedazzled by the biographical style. Reading is an end in itself- who cares for the final of the novel? Let's hope there would be none.

This is a novel I would love to keep for a lifetime.
